At Lakeview Elementary School, we believe that parents and guardians are an integral part of a well rounded education. We welcome parents and guardians on campus and to participate in school events whenever they are available to attend. We encourage parents and guardians to support their children’s education by reading at home, helping with homework and getting their children to school on time. As a parent or guardian, you have a strong voice at Lakeview. School committees that are open for parental participation include Site Council and PTA. District committees open for parental participation include Planning and Steering and Facilities Councils. These are great opportunities for you to be involved in your child’s education.
I encourage our students to get involved at Lakeview through activities such as Student Council, girls and boys basketball, cross country and other clubs as they form. These activities allow your child to make new friends of all ages and teach them the responsibilities involved in working as a team.
In order for Lakeview to be a place for children to grow and learn, a place to respect and be respected, and a place to experience the excitement of learning, it is important that the students, parents, staff and community form a positive relationship. Working together, there is no limit to what our children can learn and accomplish.
We look forward to working with you throughout the year and forming a successful partnership that will enable us to meet your child’s needs.
